It was obvious from
the first time that I worked with Lathun
Grady in 1996, that he had what it takes
to become a successful recording artist.
He always seemed to catch the essence
of what I wanted to convey to him about
my songs. Whether it was the style, the
rhythm, the piano or guitar riffs, the
vocals, the harmonies, or the strings
in the background, he had the 'Midas'
touch in putting it altogether.
When
I think of all those times he worked from
early evening till dawn to complete the
project I had for him, it was no wonder
that Motown signed him to a recording
contract. He has worked hard and long
to perfect his craft and he has grown
spiritually to the point where he put
his ideals above the almighty dollar,
and for that he has earned my admiration
and respect. I for one will always be
a fan.
